I have a wealth of recipes at my disposal, thanks to living with Chef Geoff -- my husband, who was a bachelor of 33 years when we married in 1987.
After years of flexibility with a two career marriage, the Jordans are experts at having meals on hand for on the go singular dining when our schedules are mirror-opposite. Enticing aromas from a crock pot and the wildly-effusive barking and tail wagging welcome from Aunt Baby (our loveable Labrador) make an evening class seem like a walk in the park. |
Ingredients and directions
- 2 lbs beef cubes (round or chuck)
- 1 can 'condensed cream of mushroom' soup
- 1 can 'condensed cream of celery' soup
- 1 envelope dried onion soup mix
- Optional (but worth it): 1 med onion (sliced), 1 lb sliced mushrooms, 1 cup red wine
Cook on low for 8 - hours.
Or...
Bake in a covered casserole dish @ 325° F for 3 hours.
Tah-dahhh! Finished!
Serve over egg noodles or rice. Dollop with Sour Cream (if desired.)
Sit back and relax with your company. The dishes are few and they can keep!
Let me know how you enjoy, if you give our Beef Stroganoff a whirl, after you and your belly go for a nice walk!
Hugs,
